We had the same experience with Passport America reservations as did previous reviewers. We called in and clearly identified ourselves as PA members and were told there was space. When we arrived the clerk denied we identified ourselves as PA members and offered the FMCA rate. We told him we'd go elsewhere and he gave us a "PA rate" ($4/night more than PA directory stated) at cash only (no checks). Spaces are fairly tight, but no problem with 40' class A and tow. Scenery is spectacular, and the proximity to the Grand Canyon is unbeatable. We'll stay here again provided if get an understanding of PA rates when making reservations.

This is a very comfortable place to stay overnight (as we did) or longer (as we plan to do). The workcamping staff were very friendly and helpful. The laundry is very convenient (and not overly expensive, $1 wash/$1 dry). Our site (#P5) was level and an easy drive through for our 40' class A and towed car.

This is an urban park and was very convenient for us to visit family in Overland Park. Also very convenient to major shopping (Costco, etc.) This site is quite cramped, but we had no problems with our 40' Class A motorhome. Our site had 30 ampere service, but others have 50 amperes. Laundry is spotless with large washers ($1.25) & dryers ($0.75). Owners are available and just as nice as can be. We enjoyed talking with them. The park was full of repeat customers, so they must be doing things right. Our only big negative is the trains. Although the tracks are 3/4 mile away, the constant crossing whistles day & night will keep you awake. Earplugs are recommended. Overall, if you need a place near Kansas City this is a good bet.

There are the campgrounds you spend time in and those you use while traveling. This is the second type, an overnight stop. Given that it is a fine place to stay, albeit a bit pricey for an overnight spot. We didn't find the road too bad, just took it slow in our 40' class A. Our site (near the propane) was quite level. Yes, the trains are very noisy, but earplugs solved that issue. Directions are a bit confusing, and our GPS didn't recognize the address. The coordinates are N37 deg, 05.000'; W100 deg, 50.021'. We'd probably stay here again if passing thru at the end of the day. Staff was very helpful.

We've stayed here twice in the past month, and will stay again next time we're in the area. This is just what the traveling RVer needs, a place to park with electric and water (sewer available if needed, or use the park's dump site). We paid $14.50 (Passport America), and didn't have to pay for pools, spas, playgrounds, and etc. that we neither need nor want. The laundry was spotless and very reasonable ($1 wash, $0.50 dry). We wish there were more basic no frills parks like this.

The views are spectacular. Broadband, satellite, & cellular telephone reception was excellent. We have a 40' Class A with a tow car and did not find the access at all a problem (we rate it 6 on a scale of 1-10 for difficulty [10 most difficult]). The recommended exit #14 was closed so we had to access it from exit #16 on secondary road with a few narrow bridges. It was no big problem. It is very quiet and friendly. We'll stay here again when in the area.

This is a very convenient and easy to access location at the SE corner of the Hwys 194 & 2 intersection. Pull-through sites are gravel and fairly level and graded (we stayed during a heavy rainstorm). Friendly hosts, but many yippy dogs around. Our site had good satellite reception along with excellent Verizon Broadband & AT&T cellular telephone reception. The only major drawback was the proximity to a major rail line with frequent trains. Some highway noise, but nothing compared with the trains.

Overpriced for what you get. Site was gravel, and ours were underwater during the recent rains. AND, they wanted to charge us extra money to move to a nearby dry site. Doubt we'll stay again.
